Jocelyn Drainie is a Sound Practitioner, Drum Circle Facilitator and Shiatsu Therapist and has practiced in the healing arts since 1987. Jocelyn facilitates Sonic Medicine gatherings and Rhythm Circles where participants come to play and listen for their own enjoyment as well as for the benefit of others. Participants learn how to create deeply relaxing sound journeys and energizing rhythms using an exotic array of ‘user-friendly’ instruments. No musical training is required.
Jocelyn facilitates sound and rhythm circles monthly in London as well as for private groups, social service agencies, schools, churches and professional organizations. She also uses sound to support grief work and patients in palliative care. Jocelyn offers private one-on-one sessions in addition to her group work.
Jocelyn continues to study percussion and is a member of and rehearsal coach for an all women’s rhythm group called Chicas de Rumberas in London.
